1079 viewsI didn’t know we had so many talented people here at the Club! We had 21 Members and Guests show up for the Pumpkin Carving Contest held October 25th at the Club. After another good Pot Luck Dinner, the gloves came off and the knives & saws went to work. We had nine entries in the Adult Division and one entry in the Child Division. There were Pumpkins that were smiling and scowling. There were Pumpkins with ghosts and Pumpkins with bats. There was even one Pumpkin that was puking and one Alligator Pumpkin that was pooping! In the end we brought out the Ballot Box and everyone was given a ballot to vote.Brooke won in the Child Division and received a plastic pumpkin filled with coloring book and crayons.There were so many good Adult entries that we had a three way tie for second, but Eva out did them all to win 1st Place and received a $25.00 Gift Card to the Brickhouse Grill in DeLand. Thanks to all for coming and making this years Carving Contest a great success!

1078 viewsFirst Ride of the Year 2009 After watching 2008 disappear from this time continuum with a fantastic Sunset, and being with friends to see the New Year in. I was up early and ready to going riding. But I was not the only one ready, When I arrived at the Club House, Thirty minutes before the start of the Planned New Years day ride, Other members were already in place and waiting. Barry and Marilyn along with Frank and Linda were already there waiting on me. And I thought I was early (Right). There seems to be something about starting the New Year off with a ride through the country side that sets the pace for the rest of the year.
