948 viewsWhat a beautiful day it was. A few scattered clouds with plenty of sun and No rain in the forecast for this Saturday. The first of the riders met at the 200 Club, at about 9 am. At 9:30 am it was kickstands up and five bikes headed for Bunnell, to meet up with the remainder of our fellow riders. In all there were eight Bikes and ten riders. The ride to Bunnell was short as we shot straight up 95 to US 1 then into Bunnell. Arriving there about 10:15 we waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Once everyone that was going arrived we saddled up and headed up US 1 once again to 204 then onto 13 then 207/13. Getting back on 13 once again we rode along the St. Johns, passing by the Outback Crab Shack, and the sweet Odors of good food. Stopping at a wayside parks for the above picture and to call ahead to let the Restaurant know the number of people and approx. Time of arrival. After the brief stop we headed on in to Clarks fish Camp for a great dining experience. If you have not been to Clarks you have to make a effort to go and experience the food and atmosphere. If nothing else the Stuffed Animals alone are worth the visit. By the time we had satisfied our appetites and took pictures of the animals, it was time to head on home. Of course all the Ice Tea and Water that we consumed meant a couple of extra stops. And by the time we got to Flagler beach it was about time for a liquid refreshment and to say good by to a few as each of us headed on home. Some headed on down A1A to Ormand and points south along the beach as others, took Highbridge and drove part of the “Loop”. Those of us on the Loop had the unpleasant experience of forging roads cover in water, a result of our Recent rains. Most Gage drives either stopped or drove extremely slow pass us, that is except for Two young idiots in a Black sedan. They kept increasing their speed as the came toward our group and by the time they reach Me at the tail of the group, they were producing a wall of water about six to seven feet in the air. Needless to say I believe everyone in the group got wet, Frank S. Was just in front of me and I could see the wall of water hit Him just before I lost all vision by getting hit with the wall Reddish Brown swamp water. Needless to say a great day of riding turned into very wet ride home with a sour taste (Swamp water) in my mouth. But now looking back I enjoyed the day as I believe most did. But I can still see the Blond Haired driver of the dark car Laughing as he went by me. “ One day They will be rewarded for their deeds.” One can only hope.Oct 07, 2009
